pluie d'été

Ever since school ended on April 30th, my IQ has lowered about 25%
I have no intentions of gaining cultural knowledge, being artistic, having philosophic conversations
Its like the emotion of "crazy fun" has been inducted into my mind and has taken all the space provided. This is the main reason why I have not written here for a while, because I do not feel any need to write random things that pass my mind. To be honest, I don't think about anything serious, i just feel something and do it without second thought.

It feels just like the influence heavy summer rain has on us.
It is so overwhelming that we cannot think of anything else at the moment.
Our preoccupations are focused on the rain and for that time period we forget whatever else was on our minds.

I took this picture in Osaka, Japan
A lot of young people were skateboarding at this place during the daytime but I was too shy to take a picture of them. It was one of my last days in Osaka and I did not want to spend it trapped in my hotel room. I decided to walk outside despite the rain because walking without a destination is even crazier during heavy rain.
My logic was:
No destination (something negative) + Heavy Rain (something negative) = Positive
There was nothing to think or worry about.

Because everyone wants to look back and remember this feeling of carelessness.

toi

I know a girl
She puts the colors, inside my world.
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls are
Continually changed.

An elderly man was sitting alone.
He wasn't sure of which direction to go, and he'd forgotten both where he was traveling to... and who he was. He'd sat down for a moment to rest his weary legs, and suddenly looked up to see an elderly woman before him. She grinned toothlessly and with a cackle, spoke: "Now your third wish. What will it be?"

"Third wish?" The man was baffled. "How can it be a third wish if I haven’t had a first and second wish?"

"You’ve had two wishes already," the hag said, "but your second wish was for me to return everything to the way it was before you had made your first wish. That’s why you remember nothing; because everything is the way it was before you made any wishes." She cackled at the poor man. "So it is that you have one wish left."

"All right," he said hesitantly, "I don't believe this, but there's no harm in trying. I wish to know who I am."

"Funny," said the old woman as she granted his wish and disappeared forever. "That was your first wish...

timeless.

Do you know of one song that is timeless and brings you back to what you were feeling the first time you heard it?
For me, that song is Konstantine by Something Corporate.
I try not to listen to it too often because I'm scared it will lose its uniqueness
But every time I do,
Konstantine makes me feel exactly how I felt when I was 16 and this song meant the world to me
Being a teenager, I think I gave this song much more meaning than I could feel at that time, but some people say teenagers' feelings are 10x exaggerated/increased, so who knows really?
"This is to a girl who got into my head with all the pretty things she did"

PS: Something Corporate is making a reunion tour this summer. I would still give my left and right arm just to hear that song live.

Wild Photography

I recently bought a camera and here's one of the first pictures I took with it
It's my roomate trying to tame a wild cat that has been lurking around our apartment
Notice there's another cat in the picture, maybe jealous and wanting to be tamed

Money

From up there we have fallen
Because those without you are broken
You say it's worth every penny

Your taste is so sweet to my lips
Care to leave me some tips
I would need your company

I've got a plan to solve the crisis
But it involves your nemesis
You run this world with such glory

You've got everyone confused
For you, i'll stand accused
Are you really that blind, honey?

Epic Ending Scenes

Some people think that first impressions are important, then what about last impressions?
I really enjoy movies that end with a twist or just something so beautiful it makes the rest of the movie irrelevant.
Here are some movie endings that I think are amazing! (It took me a while to find good quality/English subtitles, so watch them!)

Both movies are from director Wong Kar-Wai
I think that just the 30 seconds ending to these movies > avatar

Chungking Express
-the quality wasn't the best and the audio is a bit delayed
-Start watching from 7:45
-Yes its Tony Leung and Faye Wong!!!

Fallen Angels
- Yes it's Takeshi Kaneshiro (Jing Cheng Wu)
-Start from 2:07

How many of you thought I was going to post ''Lost In Translation"? :-)

Innocence

I will make sure the expiration date is set to yesterday.

Classical Conditioning

I am one of those who do not appreciate going to sleep because its BORING
I always need to be entertained before going to bed or else I feel like I am missing out on something like.
Right now.
I am supposed to be asleep but I was bored so I am writing you this post

However, I have trained myself to fall asleep because otherwise I would be the main theme of "28 days later"
I used classical conditioning to train myself to fall asleep every time I think of "what I should wear tomorrow"
In non-scientific terms, classical conditioning was discovered by a dude called Pavlov when experimenting on dogs
The dogs always heard a bell right before getting fed
So everytime they heard the bell, their saliva was going crazy and they were automatically hungry
Basically the anticipation of the result creates the same effect as the result

I trained myself to think about what I should wear the next day right before I fall asleep that way, when I really need to fall asleep, I just think: what do I wear tomorrow???

Sadly, this method works too well because I literally feel sleepy during the day whenever I think of clothes I should wear the next day.. this even happened to me in the shower! I try to avoid thinking about it but the more I try to avoid it the more I think about it

Psychology!

Food Court

I like listing things a lot, like: Top Ten lists, Advantages/Disadvantages and making music playlists for every occasion
Also, every time I read one of those lists I usually start from the end!

Here are the Advantages/Disadvantages of "Eating Alone at School"

Advantages:
-Not having to share your food if you really enjoy it
-Eating at the pace you wish to
-No criticism on what you are eating

Disadvantages:
-Expectations of entertainment during eating are most likely very low
-Taking the space of a whole table for one person when everyone is looking for a place to eat
-Awkward feeling that you should be eating with a group/talking to peers

PS: the picture is a great representation of our nutrition habits. I wish I was raised junk-food /GMO/Trans Fat/Salt free!

Death of Polaroid?

I happen to be a fan of Polaroid Pictures, but i think that this type of photography is drawing dead.
The main reason for their lack of popularity is (in my opinion) because:
1. People can now easily photoshop the grungy-look that polaroid pictures provide
2. People do not enjoy carrying photographs on them right after they take a picture

Anyway, right now people seem to like taking pictures of polaroid pictures and creating that picture in another picture effect!

However, I would like to point out one thing that annoys me in photography, it's people who think they are taking artistic pictures when really all they have is a super expensive camera + lense. Have you noticed that these people usually take a picture of themselves with their camera aiming for a shot (super pro-like pose) haha!

Expiration Date

Why does everything need an expiration date? Can we not rely on anything that will not expire?
If there wasn't any expiration date on a can of food, would you enjoy eating it because it is reliable or would you take it for granted because it will not expire?

Here is a quote from the movie '' Chungking Express''

"If memories could be canned, would they also have expiry dates? If so, I hope they last for centuries."
